 | Patricia ALLEN Perkins [modified: 4-2002] Sterling, VA |
A widow since 1988, I retired from residential real estate career two years ago. Washington is my natural environment, interested in politics and pitching in to work on the Israel/Palestinian conundrum since 1989. In 1990 made a trip to Israel and Palestine, sponsored by Pax World International to take a remarkable tour to sites designed to give us 16 Episcopalians (half lay people, half clergy (including one bishop) an even handed exposure to both sides of the issue. I have been an active peace activist.

I was born and raised on 10 acres homesteaded by my great grandfather. After the dead of both my parents, the grandfather claus retired. My two sisters and myself sold the property at Warson and Woodlawn roads. A contractor built four homes on the property which was completely rearranged to make a sound barrier on the Woodlawn side. I have great memories of this place and wish to share it with others.

After a long career with advertising agencies, I am continuing to work as a writer/producer. My main claim to fame is my son, Phillip Robertson, a journalist who's covered the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. See his stories on www.salon.com They are chilling, compassionate and touching.
