    William T. Crowell's outgoing personality and integrity helped him build a career that lasted 40 years in the broadcasting industry. Mr. Crowell died Saturday (Feb. 17, 2001) of cancer at his home in Frontenac. He was 63 and a native of St. Louis. Mr. Crowell attended the University of Missouri at Columbia for several years before he enlisted in the Army in 1957. He later graduated with a bachelor's degree in business from Washington University. After he returned from the service, in 1960, Mr. Crowell began his career in broadcasting in the marketing department at KTVI-TV in St. Louis. He worked there several years before he moved to the former KMOX-TV, now KMOV. In 1968, he moved to Chicago, where he served as a sales manager with the CBS television network. His job at CBS then took him to New York, where he worked before returning to St. Louis in 1972. Mr. Crowell later served as vice president of sales and general manager of KPLR-TV in St. Louis. When he left KPLR, Mr. Crowell became general manager of Cable Advertising Network. He had been working as an account executive with KSDK-TV and remained there until shortly before his death. He was a board member of the St. Louis Advertising Club and a member of the Broadcast Advertising Club, the International Radio and Television Society and the Boy Scouts of America. He was president of Strathalbyn Farms Club in St. Charles, a gun club, for the last two years. In 1987, Mr. Crowell and his family founded KUTO, Kids Under Twenty-One, a teen crisis prevention organization, in memory of their son, William T. Crowell Jr., who died in 1986. Among his survivors are his wife of 45 years, Judith Heil Crowell of Frontenac; two daughters, Kimberly Busch of St. Louis County and Lisa Sage of Richmond Heights; a brother, Michael Kratz of Creve Coeur; and four grandchildren.     Lawrence J. Grosser, an official, civic leader and businessman in Chesterfield, died Thursday (Sept. 30, 1999) at Barnes-Jewish Hospital of complications from pneumonia. He was 62 and lived in Chesterfield. Mr. Grosser was the owner for about 15 years of Grosser Enterprises Inc., an advertising specialty concern. In 1979, he became the first recipient of the citizen of the year award of the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce, which in 1987 selected him as business person of the year. Mr. Grosser was born and reared in St. Louis. He attended Washington University. He served in the Army Reserve from 1960 to 1966. Among the survivors are his wife of 39 years, Darlene Grosser; two daughters, Shelly Chanitz of Ballwin and Marcie Hoffman of Atlanta; his parents, David and Anne Grosser of Chesterfield; and three granddaughters.[published in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on 2 Oct 1999]

    Buzzy and I have been married almost 46 yrs. We have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. I am retired and Buzzy is semi-retired. Still does a little plumbing work for old customers. I enjoy traveling but Buzzy likes to stay home and be outside as much as possible.

    Retired from GE Aircraft Engine Sales in 1999. Married for 45 years to Catherine Hellmich ( MI '55 ) with three daughters and five grandchildren residing in Louisville, Dayton and Cincinnati. This past year we lost the physician husband of our first daughter to a seven year battle with leukemia. Looking forward to the 50th.

    Married to Stanley Goodman for 39 years when he died. Now married to E. Ray Sievers for 5 years. I have three daughters and a son and five grandchildren. Youngest daughter and son are single; oldest daughter married with three sons; middle daughter is divorced with twin daughters. Ray, my second husband, has three sons, one of which are married. He has three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. We have a large family when we all get together. I work part-time for my brother and daughter's accounting firm in Clayton, MO.

We have enjoyed the reunion get togethers and encourage all who can to join in for the annual 50th re-re-reunion which takes place the second weekend in October at the Frontenac Hilton

Art WERREMEYER - deceased
    Arthur Werremeyer, founder of a marketing and communications firm, died Sunday (Jan. 18, 2004) at St. Joseph's Hospital of Kirkwood after being injured in a fall. He was 66 and a resident of Shrewsbury. Mr. Werremeyer was born in St. Louis. He received a bachelor's degree in business from Westminster College in Fulton, Mo., and in 1961, a bachelor's degree in print management from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. In 1962, Mr. Werremeyer founded Werremeyer Associates and later changed the name to Werremeyer Creative, a successful marketing, communications and graphics firm in Webster Groves. Among his clients were Anheuser-Busch, 7-Up, Monsanto and Ralston Purina. He retired in 2000. His daughter, Gretchen Floresca of Webster Groves, is president of the firm, which has since been renamed Werremeyer-Floresca. Mr. Werremeyer was a board member of Eden Theological Seminary, Evangelical Children's Home and Old Webster Business District. In addition to his daughter, among the survivors are his wife of 43 years, Jennie Werremeyer; a son, Robert Werremeyer of University City; and two grandchildren.
