It was 35 years ago on a February 1973 winter night that the senior prank took place when I drove the snow covered drivers-ed volkswagen into the school and parked it in the hall by the english rooms. Helped by Rick Gordon, John Clark, Ed Olsen, Randy Britton and John Arney who helped in diversion, and gift wrapped the car, (I still have the photo from the school paper), we wanted a funny prank that caused no damage to the school. The men of 73 always had more intelligence and class than those 72 buffoons Callison, Zorensky, Kline and Grossman who got caught by the cops trying to drain the pool!

Still travelling the world by jet, with the best window seat on the plane. Still married to Lori (you don't know her, she's from Indiana, among other places) has it been 24 years? Oh! Still the two excellent girls (would go on too long if I started bragging). Is Katrina really almost 17? Elena almost a teenager? Oh! Looking forward to (not really the 30th, is it?) reunion. As the years roll ever faster, perhaps it is what we should do, reflect on our roots, eh? See you in St Louis.

Sally Sommer Flynn, 49, a resident of Northfield, died July 11 at her home after a prolonged battle with cancer. Mrs. Flynn was born in St. Louis, Mo. and graduated from Ladue High School in Ladue, Mo. She attended DePauw University, graduating with a bachelor's of science in nursing in 1977. Following her marriage to Kevin M. Flynn in 1977, Mrs. Flynn embarked on her first career as a clinical nurse. Upon completing her master's in 1980, she began her second career as a marketing director with Baxter Healthcare, where she remained employed until 1990. During her tenure with Baxter, Mrs. Flynn developed the marketing plans for some of Baxter's most innovative and commercially successful products and worked with former Baxter senior executives Harry Kramer and Lester Knight during their own formative years with the company. Since 1980, she participated in a wide variety of fund-raising efforts on behalf of the American Cancer Society. Despite her many medical challenges throughout her entire adult life, Mrs. Flynn was an avid sportswoman. She competed in several triathlons, including the 1984 Chicago Triathlon in which she finished in the top ten in her age group. Until her recent illness beginning in October 2003, she enjoyed golf, paddle tennis, aerobics and weightlifting. Survivors include her husband, Kevin M.
