I have been in Louisville since 1986, have been practicing law here since 1995, and over the years have developed a hobby of walking up really big hills. Since 2002 I have reached the summits of Kilimanjaro, Elbrus and Cotopaxi among many other peaks. Of all the great views along the way one that sticks in my mind is seeing the North Star and the Southern Cross at the same time the night before the Cotopaxi ascent.

James Paul Eder, 48, of East Street died yesterday morning at home after a long battle with cancer. Born in St. Louis on Sept. 17, 1956, son of Patricia Routman Eder and the late Ray Eder, he graduated from Ladue High School there and received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 1979 from Washington University, also in St. Louis. Mr. Eder owned Seven Hills Inn in Lenox with his wife's family from 1994 to 2004. He moved to the Berkshires in 1984 and was employed by GE. Before that, he worked for Texas Instruments in Dallas. He was co-president of the board of the Lenox Children's Center and volunteered with the Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic. While at Seven Hills, he hosted fund-raisers for the Children's Center, the Berkshire Humane Society, Berkshire Southern Literacy, Edith Wharton Restoration and the American Cancer Society. He and his wife, the former Pati Flores, were married Aug. 31, 1986, in McAllen, Texas. Besides his wife, and mother of St. Louis, he leaves two daughters, Emily Ray Eder and Eliza Claire Eder, both at home; a sister, Goldie Eder of Cambridge, and two brothers, Andrew Eder of Southport, Conn., and Elliot Eder of Vienna, Va. I'm living a hectic life in Richmond, Virginia. I've been a dentist since '88- Graduated from Medical College of Virginia. Back when I was married I was the lead singer and played rhythm guitar in a folk rock/bluegrass band. My best friend here in town and a fellow guitar player in the band is an old St. Louis guy-Dr. Tom Eschenroeder (Country Day '74). My Ex and I have 2 kids-Sam-20 and Maria-23. I rode a Harley for a couple of glorious years until I sold it to keep my marriage together...Oh, well. Win some, you lose some. It's all mostly good, though...we're still buddies. I have a full-time dental practice in Chester, VA and when I can't find a root canal to do, I'm busy planning on when my girlfriend, Mary and I can build my Log Cabin and get that ultralight of my dreams, and, oh yes, get out of debt. Come on Obama, 7 or 11! ( He just wrote me and said my stimulus check's in the mail!) ...A couple of years ago, when I was working part-time in a dental practice in Midlothian, a 'suburb' of Richmond, who should should I run into... none other than Dr. Billy Roodman (Ladue '73?). I am a PSC for Kentucky's Early Intervention Program and a LPC working on an Intensive Level Evaluation Team, helping to diagnose and suggest therapy treatment for children birth-3 who are not responding to typical therapy.

Hi! Hope everyone is doing great! I have been married to Neil for 22 years and have two wonderful boys. Jeffrey is finishing his freshman year at the Univ of WI-Madison and is a very talented writer. A play that he wrote was performed by the drama dept at the University and that was pretty exciting! Our other son Jason, is finishing his freshman year at Parkway North and he is a very accomplished drummer! I'm working at Industrial Soap Company and I am in Sales, as well as being the HR Manager. Life is busy but lots of fun!

Andi died of cancer in May of 2001.
I moved back to St. Louis in mid-1997 from Stamford, CT, and I brought my business with me. My company is called Spiegel Editorial & Graphics and does all sorts of communications work, including writing, editing, graphic design, and web development. And, there's some computer consulting and training on the side. Still single (timing is everything) and working toward being the Renaissance Woman -- more interests and hobbies than free time.

I'm living in Chesterfield where I've been for nearly 17 years. I owned and operated Elizabeth Fay Mortgage in west St. Louis County for 10 years before my company was purchased by Royal Banks of Missouri in 2007. I am now working at the bank supervising residential mortgage operations (not an easy task these days!). I am recently widowed and working to keep myself busy with work, friends and hobbies.

My husband, John and I celebrated our 30th anniversary this summer. We took a 14 day cruise around Europe beginning in Rome and ending in London. Our son graduated from Miami University this year. Yeah, no more tuition! I am on Facebook, you should be too!

Practicing trial lawyer in downtown St. Louis for the past 24 years. Washington U law school, Emory U undergrad. Married to Cindy for the past 4 years. Three kids--oldest daughter Laura is starting American University in the fall, and the babies are running/crawling around pooping (Dylan, 2 1/2; Abby, 1). Still playing bass, now with The David Surkamp Band. I can't decide if the 30 years has gone by really fast, or if it's been several lifetimes--maybe a combination. See everyone at the reunion.

Daughter graduated from Sinclair School of Nursing at Mizzou and works at St. Louis Children's Hospital as an R.N. Son is a student at St. Louis Community College. Moving on from children to raising two well-behaved beagles.

Still living in the northern suburbs of Chicago (Glencoe). After practicing law for over 20 years downtown, decided to lose the commute and joined a firm in the suburbs. Have a great wife (Roz) and 2 great kids (Alex-15, a sophomore in school and Drew-18 (a freshman at University of Illinois (majoring in aerospace engineering). Also have 2 great step-daughters, Dena-18, a freshman at Drake and Andrea-21, a senior at Illinois. Looking forward to #30.
