LINDSBORG -- Roger H. Bishop, 62, Lindsborg, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005. Mr. Bishop was born April 1, 1943, in St. Louis. He was a professor at Bethany College. Survivors include his wife, Genevieve, of Lindsborg; two sons, Andrew P. of McPherson and Timothy J. of Spearfish, S.D.; two daughters, Sara E. Bishop of Lindsborg and Katherine A. Bishop of Wichita; and a sister, Barbara Keels of Ellicott City, Md. [published in The Salina Journal (KS) on Oct 20, 2005]

Bonnie CASSETT Fisher

Fisher, Bonnie Cassett died on Monday, November 12, 2007 at her home in Los Angeles, California, after a valiant four-year fight with kidney cancer. She was 64 years old. She was born on November 25, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri to Dorothy Cassett and the late Louis Cassett. Bonnie grew up in St. Louis where she attended Ladue High School. In 1963 she married her childhood sweetheart, Robert, and then graduated from Washington University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She taught public elementary school for several years. During the 1970's and 80's her professional life was devoted to inner city arts education. At this time she achieved an advanced degree from Washington University in Dance. After moving with her family to Los Angeles in 1987, she pursued a Masters degree in Dance Therapy from UCLA, after which she focused on the treatment of patients with schizophrenia. Wanting to expand her therapeutic skills, she earned a Masters Degree in Marriage, Family and Child counseling from the California Family Counseling Center. She developed an active private psychotherapy practice, which she maintained until she became ill. Bonnie was a gifted cook and a natural gardener. She traveled extensively with her husband and children. Bonnie enjoyed a life-long appreciation of the Arts. She was an incredibly generous person who touched countless lives. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Robert C. Fisher, her children, Carrie Fisher Okmin, her husband, Cary and their children, Gabe and Jeremy of Los Angeles, Jacqueline Dawn Frager, her husband, Scott, and their children, Elizabeth, Joey and Sammy of Los Angeles, Cass Fisher, his wife, Mariana of Tampa. Joseph E. Flynn, Jr., 64, of Blue Springs, Mo., passed away October 9, 2006, at his home. Joe was born June 20, 1942, to Dr. Joseph and Marietta (Muckerman) Flynn, Sr., in St. Louis, Mo. He was an Urban Planner-City Administrator. He attended St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. He was a member of the American Planning Association, International City Planners Association, and a 32-year member of the Friends of Bill W. He was Chairman of the Blue Springs Charter Commission, member and Chairman of the Jackson County Planning Commission, member of the Blue Springs Planning Commission and scholar of the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother David Flynn. Survivors include his wife Dixie Flynn of the home; sons Joseph Edward David Flynn, III, Memphis, Tenn., Christopher and Carmen Carney, Monroe, Ohio; brothers Dr. John Andrew and Monica Flynn, Baltimore, Md., Stephen and Nancy Flynn, Littleton, Colo.; sisters Mary and Paul Shuff, LaDue, Mo., Lucie and Mike Convy, Kirkwood, Mo., and Noel Flynn, of Brentwood, Mo.

Stroud, Elaine M. (nee Niederkorn), died in her home on Sept. 17, 2006 with family at her side. Harold W. PLENGEMEIER

Harold William Plengemeier, a longtime restaurateur in Clayton, died Tuesday (April 5, 1994) at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur after suffering from cancer. He was 50 and lived in west St. Louis County. Mr. Plengemeier was co-owner of the old Branding Iron Restaurant for about 18 years. He had worked in the family-owned business for about 28 years. He was a past chairman of the board at Hamilton Christian Church in Creve Coeur. Mr. Plengemeier was born in St. Louis. He graduated from Horton Watkins High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla. He served in the Army in the mid-1960s. He was the son of Louise Krigbaum Plengemeier, who died in 1968. Among the survivors are his wife, Linda Plengemeier; three daughters, Lorie Plengemeier of New Zealand, and Christina Plengemeier and Kimberly Plengemeier, both of West County; his father and stepmother, Harold B. and Virginia Plengemeier of Ladue; two sisters, Sandra Vitt of Creve Coeur and Susan Vogt of West County; and a brother, David Plengemeier of Chesterfield. Bernie EDELMAN

Bernard "Bernie" Edelman, a well-known defense lawyer here for 30 years, died Tuesday (March 18, 2008) of natural causes at his home in Sunset Hills, his family said. He was 63. After stints as an assistant prosecuting attorney and as a public defender in St. Louis County, he entered private practice in the mid-1970s, handling criminal and traffic cases. From 2000 until his death, Mr. Edelman was a partner with his son, Steven Edelman, in a criminal defense practice in Clayton. Mr. Edelman was president of the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in the early 1990s and served on its board. In 2005 Mr. Edelman won the Charles M. Shaw award for excellency in trial advocacy. Mr. Edelman was reared in University City and served in the Army and Army Reserves in the 1960s. He got his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Missouri. In addition to his son, survivors include a daughter, Susan Edelman of St. Louis; two brothers, Eugene Edelman of Birmingham, Ala., and Edward Edelman of San Francisco; a stepson, John Page of St. Louis; a stepdaughter, Nicole Hatfield of St. Louis; and three stepgrandchildren. Gayle GISBURNE Mall

Gayle Mall joined her Savior on July 19, 2000. Gayle fought a courageous battle against cancer for many years. Her faith in God and family gave her the strength to carry on each day. Gayle was born on July 21, 1944 in St. Louis, MO, to the late Dorothy & Robert Gisburne. Gayle graduated from Horton Watkins High School in St. Louis in 1962. She attended the University of Kansas and returned to St. Louis, MO. Gayle began her business career with Mississippi River Transmission and Marsh McClellanInsurance. On May 25, 1968 Gayle and Gene were married and shortly thereafter moved to Louisville, KY and then in 1974 moved to Edmond, Oklahoma. Colin, her son, was born on August 24, 1977. Gayle lived in Oklahoma & began a successful real estate profession which lasted over 18 years. Gayle was very active in church activities at Messiah Lutheran Church & was very happy in working with the youth groups. In the last 8 years, Gayle participated in the cancer societies "Relay for Life" both inobtaining solicitations and participation in the event. Gayle had many loves, including vacations to Canada, camping, NASCAR races and gardening, which was a very rewarding experience for her. Gayle was and is a shining star in how she always put others ahead of her own needs and desires. Gayle always thought first of her fellow man and how she could address their needs. In her eyes, no problem was too large to overcome. It was her faith in God and in herself that allowed her to reach heights which weall should hope to achieve. The smile on her face was like a brilliant diamond that will always retain its luster. Gayle was the youngest sister of St. Louis residents, Robert M. Gisburne, Jr. (Lucy) and Marguerite G. Likes (Ted). Gayle spent many fun-loving times with her brother's children, Bob (Becky), Don (Cheri), Lisa, and Marc (LeAnn) and with her sisters children, Janet, Ted Jr. (Nicole), Terry (Tammy) and Andy (Brandy). Gayle became the great aunt of Jennifer, Nicholas, Kyle, Connor,Hank, and Lauern. Gayle is survived by her loving husband Gene and her beloved son Colin. TRIBBLE, CAROL A. (nee Jones), age 58, formerly of Dellwood, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 29th, 2002, in Birmingham, AL. She was born February 16th, 1944 in St. Louis, MO, the only child of Capt. and Mrs. Charles A. Jones Jr. She is survived by and was the beloved wife of 39 yrs. of John Rick Tribble; mother of three sons, John Jr. (Bernadette) of Buffalo, NY, Timothy Charles Tribble (Shelli) of Bloomington, IL and Christopher George of Hoover, AL; grandmother of Ryan Timothy Tribble and Tyler Jordan Tribble of Bloomington, IL; daughter of Sue Hendrickson Jones; aunt of Allison Tribble Payne of Talahasse, FL and Keith B. Tribble of Baton Rouge, LA. She was preceded in death by her father and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. George J. Tribble of Baldwin. A graduate of Ladue High School in 1962, she was an alumni of the University of Missouri. She was a member of Ladue Chapel, serving as a Deaconess and worked as a volunteer at St. Lukes Hospital. Mrs. Tribble was active in the Dellwood community serving as a Cub Scout Den Mother and was chairman of several committees for local parent teacher organizations and youth athletic programs. Pat RATHERT Harbour

HARBOUR, PATRICIA RATHERT, born December 3, 1944 (St. Louis, MO), died August 30th, 2004 (Jackson, WY), with her daughters by her side and the Grand Tetons outside her window, Pat Harbour succombed to pancreatic cancer, this week, in Jackson Hole, Wyoming; she lived an exuberant and complete 59 years. Pat was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and began her professional career at Brown Shoe Company where she became responsible for the fashion and advertising departments. But after over 15 years in the footwear business, Pat was bitten by the innkeeper bug. She dreamed of opening a bed and breakfast and visualized it coming to life in Santa Fe, New Mexico, a destination that had not yet been 'discovered' by the hospitality industry or the casual traveller. So, with the help of her daughters, Alison and Heather, and with her canine companion Sophie at her side, the Adobe Abode was born. It quickly became the B&B of choice, offering guests bedrooms that Pat had personally designed and an ambience that made it feel as if Santa Fe had grown up around the Inn, as opposed to the opposite. Breakfast at the Adobe Abode was a party, with Pat whipping up homemade muffins and brewing her famously strong coffee. Expectedly, guests became friends and the Adobe Abode became a fixture, a place where people from all over the country visited. And Pat did it all, without any previous experience and without a training manual.Having done that, Pat decided she needed to move on, to try something different. While visiting British Columbia she found a wonderfully underappreciated house on a beautiful island. She started dreaming again, visualizing the possibilities of a rental property that would provide an exceptionally charming travel experience. She know what she liked, and she knew that if she thought it would be special, so would her guests. Pat transformed this cottage into a perfect vacation getaway.Pat had a busy life. But busy always included her family, the real treasures in her life. She always found the time to spend with her daughters, Alison and Heather, and their new spouses, David Agnello and Jeremy Oxer. And of course, she couldn't get enough of her granddaughters Annie and Lucy. Because being the best mom and grandma was more important than anything else.Not surprisingly, she was a wonderful sister, aunt and friend as well. She stayed close to her sister Gail Fischman, as well as Gail's son and daughters. And she never allowed distance to compromise her friendships. As recently as three months ago, Pat had plans to renovate a boutique hotel in Galveston, Texas, what she envisioned as her next Santa Fe. That dream is one of the few that Pat did not fulfill. Ed SAPOT

Edwin G. Sapot, the former chief executive officer of Passport Luggage, died Saturday (Aug. 20, 1994) at St. Mary's Health Center in Richmond Heights after suffering a heart attack. He was 48. Mr. Sapot, of Creve Coeur, took over Passport Luggage in 1991 after the death of his brother, Harvey A. Sapot, the company's founder. He left the company after it was sold two months ago. Edwin Sapot also owned The Jubry Group in Chicago, a pharmaceutical group that sold drugs to nursing homes. He sold that business in December. Mr. Sapot graduated from the University of Missouri. Among the survivors are his wife, Sheri Sapot; a son, Bryan Sapot; and a daughter, Julie Sapot, all of Creve Coeur. [published in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on Aug 22, 1994]

William "Bill" Patrick Conrath, 57, passed away peacefully at home on September 11, 2002. Bill was born in Creve Coeur, MO, the son of Rose and John Conrath. He graduated from Ladue High School in 1963 and served in the United States Air Force at Richards Gebaur from 1964-66. In 1966 he began his career with W.T. Grant in Kansas City, MO, as the General Manager. He was Vice President of Douglas Products and Packaging in Liberty, MO, from 1971-2002. Bill was a member of The Kansas City Club and an avid supporter of many civic organizations in town. He especially loved the Lyric, the Kansas City Symphony and Friends of the Zoo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose and John Conrath. He is survived by his friend and companion of more than 25 years, Jimmie D. Mooney; his sister, Dorothy Linnenman and her husband, Harry of Ballwin, MO; and his brothers, Tommy Conrath and his wife, Mary of St. Louis, MO and Robert Conrath of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He leaves nine nieces and nephews to mourn his death. Bill will be missed terribly by his lifelong friends, Hank and Maude, and the many friends he had throughout the world and most especially here in the United States. The "Little General," as he had been called for many years, will be missed by all who came in contact with him. He changed us all and always for the better. Marc SCHMELZER

Marc Schmelzer, 55, of Houston, Texas, son of a Bloomington woman, died at 7:28 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 20, 2000) at Houston. Marc graduated from Washington University where he was a member of SAM Fraternity. He relocated to Houston in 1970 and joined the Executive Training Program at Foley's and was very successful as a career merchant. Marc was for many years in the wholesale jewelry business, traveling nationwide. He will best be remembered by his many colleagues and friends for his kindness, generosity, humor and enthusiasm. He never met a stranger. Marc's favorite things in life were sports, annual trips to Las Vegas with his buddies, weekends at the beach house, his dogs, happy holidays at his home and volunteering on the Special Children's Committee at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. She went on to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 1968. Upon graduation, she joined the Naval Nurse Corps and it was through her assignment in Virginia that she met and married Marine Lt. Col. Michael J. Dineen (Ret). After much travel and relocating, Gail eventually settled in Springfield, MO. She went on to earn her Masters in Counseling at Southwest Missouri State University, and began a 22 year career in health care and education at St. John's Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Kierer Selander and Gerald Edward Selander; her sister, Lynn Elaine Selander Slein; her aunt, Helen Kierer Buchert and uncle, Dr. Russell W. Buchert. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Katherine Lynn Dineen, 33, of St. Louis and Dana Margaret Dineen, 28, of Savannah, GA; nephew, Philip Gregory Slein of St. Louis; niece, Alison Elaine Slein of Buffalo, NY; and their father Theodore Slein, also of St. Louis. Dr. Ashley S. Zack, 56, formerly of Leawood, KS, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2002. Dr. Zack was born April 5, 1946, to Nellie and the late David Zack of Olivette, MO. Dr. Zack graduated and received his medical degree from the University of Missouri. He completed his residency training in Pediatrics at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Dr. Zack practiced pediatrics for over 28 years in the Kansas City area at Pediatric Care Specialists, P.A. In 1980, he was the medical director of St. Joseph's Hospital new pediatric intensive care unit, and instrumental in using life flight in connection with Children's Mercy Hospital. He served on the board of directors for Kehilath Israel Synagogue and was active in numerous organizations including Pediatric Mentorship program at the University of Kansas and University of Health Sciences, Greater Kansas City Pediatric Society, Metro Medical Society, Academy of Pediatrics and Advisory Board of the telephone triage at Children's Mercy South Hospital. Dr. Zack loved children and above all enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed theater, tennis, racquetball, jogging, boating and traveling the world. Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Linda Zack, daughter, Heather and son-in-law, Jason Kort, son, Aaron Zack, sisters, Claudia Cofman and Barbara Hubble, brothers, Ron and Mark Zack. Peggy Aussieker Price, a former elementary school teacher, died Sunday (April 20, 2003) of brain cancer and heart failure at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. She was 55 and lived in Chesterfield. Mrs. Price was born in St. Louis. She graduated from Ladue High School. She earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1969. She began her teaching career in the Ritenour School District where she taught at Buder Elementary until 1975. In 1973, she married Howard Price, owner and chief executive of Howard Price Turf Equipment. The company makes self-contained wing mowers and landscaping equipment. Mrs. Price became vice president of finance for the company in 1975. Mrs. Price was an avid gardener and an active member of Women's Connection Network, where she had served as treasurer. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Betsy Price of Chesterfield; and her mother, Marjorie Aussieker of St. Louis. Kay passed away January 31, 2008 of cancer at age 60. Kay Boucher was born Feb. 22, 1947, in St. Louis, Mo. She received a bachelor's degree, master's degree and law degree from the University of Oregon. She moved to Portland in the late 1970s and was a law librarian for Stoel Rives, where she worked for about 12 years. In 1993, she married Robert G. French. I am sad to report the passing of my sister, Carolyn E. Carder on September 23, 2004. She passed away in Menlo Park, California after a long and valiant fight with breast cancer. She was a joyful, loving and compassionate person who enriched the lives of many others. She had an abundance of devoted friends both in St. Louis and at the Lake. Ken LIPSITZ

Kenneth S. Lipsitz, a former businessman, concert promoter and environmentalist, died Aug. 7, 1993, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Town and Country after suffering from multiple sclerosis. He was 46 and a resident of Frontenac. Mr. Lipsitz was diagnosed with the disease when he was 25. He led a varied and prosperous career, owning more than 20 different businesses. He started his first business - a leather goods shop - in 1967 while attending the University of Denver. A year later, he opened a similar business in Clayton called Hide Side. He later opened four other stores in shopping malls in the area. He later started Chrysalis health food store on Ladue Road and the Upper Half and the Lower Half boutiques in Clayton. He turned the operation of the leather shops over to his brother, Ted Lipsitz, and moved to Truckee, Calif. There he started a ski, mountaineering and leather goods shop; an ice cream parlor; and a restaurant. He ran those businesses from 1972 until 1978. As a rock concert promoter in the 1970s, he brought to St. Louis many famous singers and groups, including the Who, the Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper, Carol King, John Sebastian and Black Sabbath. All of his businesses were eventually liquidated when he became too ill to continue. Since the late 1970s from his wheelchair, he spent his time trying to save whales and dolphins from slaughter by humans. He was honored in 1987 by the Center for Environmental Education in Washington for his contributions. Mr. Lipsitz was born and reared in St. Louis. He graduated from Ladue High School and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Denver. Among the survivors are his parents, Abe and Marion Lipsitz of Frontenac; three sisters, Nina Pitkin of Springfield, Va., Babette Stein of Concord, N.H., and Rochelle Lipsitz of Washington; and a brother, Samuel T. BERGMANN, DAVID W., a respected executive and community volunteer, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004 after falling through the ice on a pond near his home while successfully rescuing his beloved dog, Red. He was 55 and a resident of Huntleigh, Mo. Mr. Bergmann was an experienced venture capitalist and investment professional. In 1992, he co-founded Advantage Capital Partners, a venture capital and private equity firm focused on raising investment capital for entrepreneurs in states and communities historically underserved by venture capital. To date the firm has raised $650 million in institutional capital with more than 40 employees in St. Louis, New Orleans, New York, Tampa and other cities. Mr. Bergmann's tireless work through Advantage contributed dramatically to the growth of many entrepreneurial businesses and the creation of thousands of jobs at these firms, including such Missouri companies as Birch Telecom, Savvis Communications and Stereotaxis. Fulfilling the hopes and dreams of entrepreneurs was a passion of Mr. Bergmann's throughout his career. Reflecting his keen interest in small business capital formation, in 1995 he served as a delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business. In 1998, Mr. Bergmann was presented an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for being a supporter of entrepreneurship. In 1999, he received a Financial Services Advocate award from the U.S. Small Business Administration. He was a member of the National Venture Capital Association and the Missouri Venture Forum. In addition to enjoying his family and his Welsh Springer Spaniels, Mr. Bergmann was active in the St. Louis community. Most recently he was a business edition leader of the 2004 campaign of the Old Newsboys Charities, a non-profit organization formed by the Suburban Journal newspapers of St. Louis that annually funds more than 300 organizations serving children in the St. Louis area. Mr. Bergmann was involved with Old Newsboys for several years and in 2003 received a Golden Plate award to recognize his commitment to the lives of area children. Mr. Bergmann was the son of John Hermann Bergmann and Dorothea Maier Bergmann, both deceased. Born and raised in St. Louis, Mr. Bergmann graduated from Horton Watkins High School. He attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., and Washington University in St. Louis, where he earned an MBA degree. Mr. Bergmann began his professional career with the investment firm of Halsey, Stuart & Co. in Dallas in the 1970s and subsequently joined the local office of Drexel Burnham Lambert. While in Texas he married the former Peggy Timmons in 1979 and four years later they moved to Los Angeles, where Mr. Bergmann joined Drexel's High-Yield Securities Department. In 1991, Mr. Bergmann returned to St. Louis and soon afterward partnered with Steven T. Stull to found Advantage. Mr. Stull moved to New Orleans to open Advantage's Louisiana office; Mr. Bergmann opened a St. Louis office. In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Katherine A. Michael SHOWER

Michael S. Shower, a native St. Louisan who was counselor to the executive director of the United Nations Children's Fund, died of complications from AIDS on Friday (April 8, 1994) at his home in New York. He was 44. While with UNICEF, Mr. Shower organized the World Summit for Children in 1990. Mr. Shower attended Ladue public schools, George Washington University in Washington and the University of Missouri at St. Louis. Before joining UNICEF in 1980, he directed several citizen's lobbying organizations on world affairs and served as a legislative assistant for foreign policy for former Rep. Michael D. Barnes, D-Md. Mr. Shower was an AIDS activist and was a member of the board of directors of the Human Rights Campaign Fund. He organized the first international displays of the Names Project Quilt. Friends recalled Mr. Shower's dry sense of humor. In March, he sent a colleague points to include in his obituary, saying, "You know me; I've got to have the last word." Among the survivors are his parents, Ralph and Ethel Shower of St. Louis; and two sisters, Suzanne Walch of Cincinnati and Michelle Proctor of McLean, Va. Myra Aronson, 51, of the Charlestown neighborhood of Boston, who was a passenger on American Airlines Flight 11 from Boston, which was the first jet to be crashed into the World Trade Center. Aronson graduated from Ladue Horton Watkins High School in 1968. Evelyn Aronson of Ladue, mother of Myra Aronson, said Monday that she feared from the beginning that her daughter was aboard one of the doomed flights. "I had spoken to her the day before and knew she was flying to LA," Evelyn Aronson, who still lives in Ladue, said Monday. "I knew she was flying early. As soon as I heard about this, I had a gut feeling that she was on one of those planes." She said her son, Jules Aronson of Washington, called her that afternoon with word from a friend of Myra Aronson's in Boston that she had been on Flight 11. She had called the friend just before boarding the Boeing 767 in Boston. The jet was flown into the north tower at 8:48 a.m. (St. Louis time), 18 minutes before a second jet struck the south tower. Myra Aronson was the third of four children of Evelyn and the late Dr. Abraham Aronson of Ladue. After high school, she graduated from Miami University of Ohio then moved to Boston to earn a master's degree in communications from Boston University. At Ladue, Myra Aronson participated in theater productions, the pep club and student council, and played the oboe in the symphonic and marching bands. Her mother said she had lived in the Boston area since attending graduate school and worked in corporate communications for several companies. At the time of her death, she worked for Compuware Corp., a software company, providing information to trade publications and securities analysts. Evelyn Aronson said her daughter was active in Boston as a volunteer publicist for a choral society and as a volunteer for medical programs that assist AIDS patients. She also was a fitness enthusiast. Myra Aronson, who was single, also is survived by two sisters, Deborah Aronson of St. Louis, and Elyse Van Bremann of Clearwater, Fla. Her parents are natives of Chicago, and the family moved to St. Louis in 1964. Dr. Aronson, who died in 1980, was a psychiatrist on staff at St. Louis University Health Center. Carla S. Argetsinger, a project manager at the Busch Learning Center at Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc. in St. Louis, died of cancer Friday (Dec. 19, 1997) at her home in Ballwin. She was 47. Mrs. Argetsinger had worked at Anheuser-Busch for more than 20 years in various sales positions in New York and here. She had been a project manager since the early 1990s. Born in St. Louis, she attended the University of Missouri at Columbia and earned a bachelor's degree from Indiana University in Bloomington. Among the survivors are her husband, William Argetsinger; two daughters, Amy Argetsinger and Beth Argetsinger, both of Ballwin; her father, Harold Greenblatt of Olivette; and a brother, William Greenblatt of Ballwin. Mark W. Naber, 57, of Glen Burnie died of natural causes Jan. 20 at the University of Maryland Medical Center after a two-year illness. He was born July 27, 1949, in Teaneck, N.J., and was raised in St. Louis. He held a bachelor's degree in psychology from St. Louis University. He was a former resident of Severn, Glenwood, Glenelg, Peabody, Mass., Vernon Hills, Ill., and Elmwood Park, N.J. Mr. Naber was a sales engineer for Very Large Scale Integration. He enjoyed music, photography and writing. Survivors include his wife, Stephanie G. Richardt Naber [class of 1970]; two sons, Eric Naber of Odenton and Sean Naber of Sykesville; one daughter, Kelly Naber of Baltimore; two brothers, Brian Naber of Normal, Ill., and Dr. Michael Naber of Grosse Pointe Park, Mich.; and two sisters, Patricia Morris and Virginia Langlas of Billings, Mont. Joan LIPSITZ Fried

FRIED, JOAN SUSAN LIPSITZ, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2003 surrounded by her beloved family and friends at her home in Chesterfield, MO, after a courageous 4 year battle with cancer. She was born on March 15, 1951 in St. Louis, MO. Joan graduated from Horton Watkins High School, earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, a Master's degree in Education from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and a Master's degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Joan traveled the world and spent time working on a kibbutz in Israel. She taught industrial arts and worked in the behavioral health field in the greater Kansas City area during the 1980's. In 1990 Joan moved to California, where her children were born. She was an artisan with a wonderful talent for remodeling older homes in both Kansas City and California. Joan returned to Chesterfield in 2002 due to her illness. She enjoyed life to the fullest. Joan was loved by all and will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched. Joan is survived by her children, Ari and Hannah, who are her greatest accomplishments; her parents, Robert J. and Janice Hoffman Lipsitz; her brothers and sisters, William (Malu') Lipsitz, Nancy Stein, Larry Lipsitz and Lisa (Robert Fulsom); and nieces and nephews whom she adored. Mark Raiffie was killed at his place of business on May 24, 1999.

Mark Raiffie and his cousin Leonard Raiffie operated the Raiffie Vending Co. in St. Louis, which was founded in 1946 by Mark Raiffie's father, Seymour Raiffie, and uncle Harry Raiffie, a former Democratic state representative. Born and reared in St. Louis, Mark Raiffie graduated from Ladue High S chool and earned a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Missouri at Columbia. He was an assistant buyer for May Department Stores Co. Inc. before starting full time in the family business. He also served in the Army Reserves in the 1970s. Among his survivors, in addition to his father, are his mother, Yetta Raiffie; and two sisters, Marcia Feit of Creve Coeur and Carol Glick of Ladue. Claudia SILVER -Huff

SILVER-HUFF, CLAUDIA J., 1951-2005, passed away January 16, 2005 at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah after a 10 year battle with breast cancer. Claudia was born in St. Louis and graduated in 1969 from Ladue Horton Watkins High School. On May 19, 1977 Claudia earned her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Tulsa, OK and was a member of the State Bars to practice law in the states of Colorado, Missouri, and Oklahoma. She had a very successful career as an Oil and Gas Attorney for the State of Utah at the time of her retirement. Claudia is survived by her loving husband, Richard E. Huff; daughter, Leah Meredith Huff; mother, Florence Schreiber Silver; brother, Jeffrey Silver; nephew, Andrew Silver; niece, Melissa Silver; and great-niece, Rachel Silver.
